I want to thank all the little people...

This year for Oscar night, I will be in Mexico. Hopefully on a beach. So I will have no results. I will be Tivo-ing it to watch when I return. Don't spoil it for me. As I only watch happy movies I haven't seen nearly enough contenders to make a prediction, I won't even bother. Basically I can't really contribute anything to the discussion of what will happen at the Oscars this year...

But I can show you how it would look to win.

The Oscars are held at the Kodak Theater just up the street from my house in Hollywood. This year they had an exhibit where you could meet Oscar. I took Stephen and Mike when they were here visiting from Manhattan. Can you tell which of us has really rehearsed our acceptance pose?

The Oscar statuette weighs 8.5 pounds. Everyone kept commenting on how heavy it was. To be different I had to comment that it felt a little fake and plastic like.

Please enjoy the photos. Please don't sue me.

Imagine how disappointed I am to find out that it's not actually filled with chocolate.

Mmmmm.....Chocolate.......

Thanks for reminding me it's the Oscars. I need to find something else on TV to watch tonight as well as -- like you -- I didn't even bother with any of the dim, dour movies this year.

So Jim, who are you wearing for your Oscar moment?

I love the Oscars, but I must admit I REALLY love the Golden Globes. I am still really sad that the stupid writer's strike kept me from seeing Johnny Depp accept his Golden Globe. Stupid writers.

The pics are the bomb! And you look most natural in this setting. Me thinks you've been practicing this for many years...

Yeah. So who WERE you wearing? I'm thinking the black shirt is vintage CHANEL...
