Bellingham is a great place!

Bellingham IS a great place... when it looks like this. That's in the summer.

Last night I primed the spare bedroom. I didn't bring any paint clothes, so I just painted in my underwear. Try and get that picture out of your mind for a while.

My mom keeps telling me she doesn't need a nice guest room. It will only encourage guests trying to stay at her house. I told her she wants me here, and I want a nice place to sleep.

I finished about 2 am. When I cam downstairs to wash off the paint on my arms, my parents were both still awake and doing stuff. I come by my night owl habits honestly.

Today I painted the wall, the trim and the floor. If the paint is dry enough by tomorrow I can do the final painting of the baseboards and I'm all done. I also picked up curtains. I'm a one man changing rooms tornado. Next visit I'm installing a bigger bed, a lamp and a table. Mark my words, It'll be all gayed up in no time!

Oh my gosh, you think this is a summer time pic? I'd have to say that it probably isn't. In spite of how much you hate the rain...

Can you come do my house. It would make my wife very happy. It would be like our own personal version of Queer Eye, only for the "straight wife who wishes her husband had a little more gay in him so he could pick out curtains and stuff."

I truly am pathetic when it comes to that sort of thing. Just last week on my last business trip, I was shopping for coming home gifts and found myself in front of a table full of cashmire scarves. As I looked through them a woman asked me if I would grab "the sage one" and hand it to her.

After a pause of confusion I looked at her and said: "You know, I'm a hopelessly straight man. I only know like five colors and none of them are named after food."

She gave me a look of pity and said, "The green one, to your left."

LOL! I'm laughing at T-dude. But Jim, is this your old room you're painting or your sisters or all of it upstairs? Or are you talking about the room downstairs? And where are you guys staying in the meantime? That's a lot of work.

OH - and what color? White?

I've never tried painting in my bra dn panties... did you have a totally free and fun feeling? I'd be completely covered in paint by the end of it all.
